Photojournalism
The Task
The objective for this task is to record information from a documentary about a photojournalist, we are to pick out important information about the facts and ideas about photojournalism in itself, we are to record the positives and negatives about the concept of photojournalism, this will help me to learn the concepts about the skill in itself, through the course of the photography unit, this information and this learning will help me immensely in order to be successful when completing my work.
What is Photojournalism?
Photojournalism is a form of journalism through images, editing and presenting pictures, the images are mainly used in order to tell a story, for example to present and show information within the news. Photojournalism can be used also to document and event which has happened, photos can show the emotions and also to show stages within an event. Photojournalism records specific moments in order to share to the world, this is something which can be used to record scenes which no one else will ever see in their lifetime. It is a very interesting way to look at the news, this can be better for people to learn about the world news through a creative concept.

My Personal Relationship with Photography
I use photography a lot, in many ways and when I do every day things. I take photography A-Level as one of my chosen subjects, I have always been very passionate about photography i am constantly snapping away when I come across something interesting. Not only do I use photography in an academic way, I use it everyday with fun things. For example I will take selfies with me and my friends to record good memories in which we can look back on in the future. I also just take pictures in order to capture the good and accurate scenes in which I come across. I personally love photography as it is something which I enjoy as it is so interesting yet a creative hobby and thing to do.
My Personal Response with Photojournalism
Photojournalism is a very interesting way to view the news and the stories happening around the world. When I look in the newspapers I look at the images news to the articles, they show the information in a clearer way as you can visualise what is going on, the images are good to back up the stories within the newspapers. Photos are easier to understand and they are straight to the point in some ways is shows that the information is true, as you are seeing it first hand within the image. I think photojournalism is a very good way to document a story, I have made photo journals before to document my memories, I find this a very good way to present my images in a meaningful way, most of my images have a story behind them.
How will this help me in the future of this course?
As we are studying photography, photojournalism will be a great part in order to successfully pass and complete this course. It is very good to research into this as it will give me a heads up with this task, I would have already gained the knowledge in order to complete the tasks I am given. As I find photojournalism and photography as a whole very interesting, I feel I will do better as I enjoy the subject in order to do well in it.
