Unit 29 - Music Video Production - Assignment 2 Notes

Styles -

Popular Music Genres

This music video is a  Pop genre video called "Let Me Love You" Ft Justin Bieber. 














- Within this video, the locations is set on the streets and in a car as a get away vehicle, this is set within the daylight yet also within the night to convey a more rebellious theme and scene in order to show the seriousness. 
- This shows the wealth by the use of the cars and the money shown in this video. 
- The speed of the video (e.g. the running and the driving) shows a fast beat within the song mainly the chorus. 
- This has the male figure to convey the controlling man against the women. 
- The colours go dark due to the scene presented with the guns and violence. 
- This music video, is a story, which shows a situation rather than relating to the words of the song. 
- There is not lip syncing interpretation within this video. 
- The artist who sings the song (Justin Bieber) does not feature within this video. 

This music video is a  R&B genre video called "Starboy" by the Weekend





























- Dark colour within the representation of the video. 
- There is a main focus of the singer of the song. 
- The relationship with the beat and the action is something which is convey very well, when he is hitting the cross onto the glass, this represents the beat of the song. 
- There is only the singer in this video, no other members, this is effective as we are listening to tat persons story through the song and the visualising of the video.
- Synergy and product placement are shown in this video as the promotion of the Puma shoes The Weekend is wearing. 
- The video is set within the simple location of a house, set in some rooms, this shows the simplistic put of the story. 
- Eye contact is connected within this. 
- Wealth is displayed within this due to the nice home, clothing, brands and the selection of cars shown. 
-There is a cat presented within this music video, this turns into a Cheater along the song, this shows the power grown in the meaning of the song and the story. 


This music video is a  Hip/ Hop genre video called "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd














- This is a male dominated music video with the males playing the most important part. 
- The location is set in a club where the song is played. 
- The artist is shown in this by singing the song with lip syncing, however this is not the whole way through as this includes more of a story, themes flashback video. 
- Wealth is conveyed due to the cars, instruments, jewellery and also the lyrics. 
- The women within this show scene of sexual nature within the dancing and lack of clothing. 
- The live performance of some of their performances are shown.

In- Concert and 'as live' footage

Many music videos, have the set of an actual concert scene, which the song is presented in. This is the showing of live music and the parts of the music and composition of the music video. A example of a music video which shows this feature is 'RED', by Taylor Swift. This shows the musicians, dancing and the choreography which is put into the video.
















Animation (stop motion, digital)

This is a theme and type of form of media which could be used within the making of a music video. This is the use of animation in order to show and perform the music video of a whole, you do not see the real artist who sings the song, however this shows a story and a short clip of the meaning of the song. An example of this is the song 'Do You Wanna Know' by the Arctic Monkey's, this shows the animation of the sound waves from the sounds and the music current.

















Interpretation 

This is the theme and video which has a video which does not correspond to the songs title, or words, there is not relative views or clips. Within this form of view, there are no lip syncing scenes within this video. An example of this is 'Let Me Love You' by Justin Bieber. This video could have a deeper outlook about the theme, for example this song is about love, within this video there is a couple in love doing something not normal for a couple in love, they are presenting a rebellious outlook on their relationship.














Narrative 

This is a video, of how the music video tells a story relating to the song, this corresponds well due to this being very easy to view and understand. A good example of this form of narrative music video, is 'If I Was A Boy' by Beyonce, as this shows her day life in the eyes of what she wants her man to be, this is conveyed and shown well due to the lyrics and the story telling music video.
















Impressionist

This is a music video, which makes the audience feel a certain way and emotion, this could be shown due to different shots  and scenes within a music video. The lyrics have the power to convey this well in order to present this. A good example for this type of styles is 'On to the Next One', by Jay-Z. Due to this video presenting a lot of scenes which present the number three, due to the album being called 'Blueprint 3'.
















Surrealist

A music video which follows this style is showing a creative response to the music video, music videos that do this are artistic within a musical and performing address, this could be using effects or distortion. This could be of the visuals of the viewing of dreams and visions. An example of this type of style is 'Disturbia' by Rihanna.

Pastiche



Parody

This is a humour version of a song presented in a music video, this is by the use of a joke in order to present a funny response to a video. An example of this is, 'All the Small Thing', by Blink 182.


















Referencing


Homage

This is a form of a tribute response to a particular song, this is not a joke tribute in comparison to 'Parody', this is more of another video presenting the same song. An example of homage is an X Factor hit called, 'Help for Heroes'. This a version of a song which was sung by the X Factor finalists.

The Purpose of Music Videos

History of Music Videos'

Used as marketing devices in order to promote the music recordings, these may also be known as calls 'promos'. The earliest music videos were filmed in the 1950s. in 1956 Tony Bennet was first filmed walking along the Serpentine in Hyde Park.

- 1960s - The Beatles first major motion picture called "A hard Days Night", in 1964 arguably set out the basic vocabulary of the visuals in todays music videos.
-1970s, this was the introduction of the top of the pop, this was a TV of the charts and the music, this was a competition of bands and record labels.
- Famous music video as an early example was 'Queen;s Bohemian Rhapsody', this was a influence for others.
-1980s - 1981 MTV was launched first music video was the Video 'Killed the Radio Star'. David Bowie scored his first UK number one from his catch promo (video). Ashes to Ashes.
- Music video of art was from Micael Jackson first to create the short film, beginning, middle and end. Thriller was the best video in that time.
- Banning a music video was (controversy ) would capture more attention.
-1980s, music videos played a central role in the marketing of an artist and an act. madonna owned a great deal of her success to the skilful construction of her image.

Music videos today, the video can make the song more popular and better by not just the song but the video.

- Sell an image, of the artist by the visual aspect of the video, this is something record companies keep doing.
- Gangnam, style was the first music video to reach 1 billion hits, MTV music video awards in Europe, this increased the record company share price by 568.8%.

- Music videos help to promote a band or an artist long after the single or album has been released.
- Some artists are remembers years latter for their memorable music video.

- Extension of outlets (music channels, DVD and Cd sales, website and download). (How the music video get noticed and shown). 

- In the past music videos would have been shown on TV shows like top of the pops.
- Labels work together with MTV to ensure that their videos are being played, leading to an increase in the sales of only certain artists and genres.
- To extend the income you must increase the extension of outlets.
- Now you can view whatever music video you want to watch.
- Word of mouth could help with this and also the social media factors, controversial videos help to create awareness.

- This can relate to a music releasing a music video which feature scenes from a Hollywood movie. (Ellie Goulding - Bridget Jones).
- This helps to promote the film but also the artist their song will feature in the film as people will see the song and music video.

Unit 29 - Music Video Production - Assignment 1 (Notes)

Music Video Analysis: 

Andrew Goodwin's, states that every music video will include some or more of these elements:

- A link between visuals and lyrics. (Compliment, contradict or amplify.)
- Having a link between the visuals and the music. (Compliment, contradict or amplify.)
- Having a certain genre of characteristics within a music video.
- Having intertextual references.
- Contain notions of looking.
- Show voyeurism (Sexual pleasure from watching others).
- Demands of the record label.
- Whether the video is a performance, narrative or concept based.

I am going to apply, Andrew Goodwin's music video theory to Rihanna and Drake's music video "What's my name?".

A link between visuals and lyrics. (Compliment, contradict or amplify.)

Within this music video, Rihanna sings solo with only her in the shot, yet as the song progresses dancers and musicians join in as she is singing. As Drake is singing he is around Rihanna singing to her and appointing the words to her for her to hear. Some of the lyrics are played behind scenes of both Drake and Rihanna, they are not accompanied by lip syncing as this is in the background, yet explaining the scene and the genre of love. Seeing Rihanna singing in the street, she is in the main focus in order to capture the lip syncing of her words. This song is of most reference of love, as this is something, which is represented and shows well.

This is an example of her singing about love, this is a solo part within the lyrics therefore she is seen on her own lip syncing to the lyrics.








This is a scene where Drake is singing to Rihanna this is conveyed through his personal facial expressions yet also the words sung within the lyrics.






Having a link between the visuals and the music. (Compliment, contradict or amplify.)

The visuals are something, which you are watching whilst the music video is playing. Within this music video, Rihanna is moving to the beat in the street by walking, yet Drake is singing to Rihanna standing still as if he was speaking to her. However as the song moves along with the beat, towards the chorus Rihanna is dancing along side the musicians who are playing the drums and creating the music as this is along side the beat. Rihanna within all these scenes captured are lip synching to the camera will full eye focus, however when she is dancing the eye contact is lost by the movement.

Rihanna is walking to the beat of the music by applying full eye contact and lip synching due to the cameras movement.
Rihanna has picked up the beat by moving with the music surrounding by musicians, showing her importance as being of the centre of the focus. She trying her best to have eye contact with the camera, despite the beat and movement and lip synching to the lyrics.






The chorus of the music acts like a conclusion for the song due to all the scene put into one after the other to review Rihanna and Drakes relationship.







Having a certain genre of characteristics within a music video.

Like most music videos, this one conveys the main genre of love and relationships this is created by the overall characteristics from both artists by also the words of the music. The shots that we get to see show that Rihanna and Drake were in a relationship, but drifted apart, due to the flash back of their own relationship together in the past. This shows happy times of them both due to the smiles and the happiness of their facial expressions. We can see that both of the artist want to be with each other due both of the artist having the happiness and care for each other.

 This shows that they are in love with each other by the facial expressions and the body language from both of the artists.
This is a flash back and part of their relationship showing a positive genre and character from both of the artists.









Having intertextual references

This is the part in music videos where it includes a beginning sentence to introduce the music videos, this is like a copy of a film introduction for the opening of a film. This is something which is not shown and put into this music video, yet is used in many. This is to present and show who and what the music video is about.

Unit 3 - Research Techniques - Assignment 3

From carrying out this exercise, and finding the gatherings of the research was very beneficial in order to gather the right information to interpret and to know what to include within the products of a CD digipak, music video and a magazine album advert. By the use of the research I was able to gather the right and relevent information needed to produce and create a successful group of products. The aim of doing this research was to gather the right information to record what people wanted to see in their own products which were given to them, this is something which was carried out correctly due to the findings which we gathered from our audience, by using different research methods. I have learnt about the concepts and the detail what is included within the different products and the importance of why the products are within the market today, the appeal of the products were something, which was very beneficial to find out. I did the research in order to find out what individuals wanted to find and view within their three products, this was found out by different forms of research such as, secondary, primary, market research, audience research, production research, collated within both qualitative and quantitative response and forms. The information gathered was from different types and methods of research, which showed and represented different results which were very beneficial for the different answers collected. 

Discuss the procedures: 

The first form of research which was collected and carried out was, the secondary research, within this I was to find the already existing information and thoughts of individuals about previous Rihanna's CD digipaks, music video's and magazine album adverts, this was conveyed through both a quantitative and qualitative response from of research in order to gain a mixture of results including the attitudes, thoughts and reviews but also the figures, ratings and staring's of each of the products. This was beneficial to gain a variety of answers and responses. The research responses were from the sources of amazon CD reviews, music rating sites, YouTube comments and also internet forum commenting from other participants. The advantages for this was that we were able to find existing guaranteed information through this source of research, due to this being reliable as a research source as this find out the right information. The disadvantages however for this form of research was that the answers that we found did not support our questions, meaning that we would have to still carry out primary research in order to conclude our findings. 

Primary research was another form of research which I carried out in order to find out about what people wanted to see in their own products by the artist Rihanna, within this it consisted of first hand information in the source of a quantitative questionnaire yet also the qualitative response of researching by using a interview, focus group and an audience panel, this was good in order to find out the different views and answers from different people providing your own questions to gain answers, this was supported by the video evidence. This was a very good source of research and information carried out as this supported our creation of our own questions, the answers that we gathered enabled us to carry on with finding out about each of the products preferences by the target audience. However the disadvantages for this form of research was that this was time consuming as the videoing process was a lengthy process. 

Audience research was something, which was obtained by the audience classification break down in order to find the best target audience for the products by Rihanna, this was composed by the evaluation of the audience classification, which was foreseen by the demographic table and psychographics table, by using this form of research we were able to find the right target audience and the perfect audience profile for the specific Rihanna products. By doing this research was an advantage as this helped us to find our perfect target audience, in order to aim the product as the right audience for sales. The disadvantage for this however as the demographic and psychographics may be unreliable as this is a prediction on the base of a table an not a real life judgement. 

Market research, was the process of research, which had the involvement of the completion of the competitor analysis and the textual analyse, this was where we defined the perfect candidate for the audience of the Rihanna product, this was good as it showed the right person and personality for the type of products. The competitor analysis was the differentiating of the products between Rihanna and one of her several competitors, in this case this was Beyonce as this was the most similar and relevent artist in comparison to Rihanna. The advantages to this type of research, (market research) was that we found out the right target audience profile for the products of the Rihanna as this gives something to look back on when making the Rihanna product. The disadvantages in this however it that competitor analysis may not be appropriate due to the different artist being different people and having their different themes, the audience profile may not cover everyone within the target audience as this only covers a fraction of the audience. 

The production research, as the research of the production side of things, including the resources needed within the production of the 3 products and also the prices of each parts of the production and the making.

Relay what results were obtained: 

This information from the secondary source of research showed that the theme, type and song in the music video was a success and was liked upon the public around the world. Looking at the reviews on staring of the Rihanna music video "Work" helped to back up the views and feedback of that specific secondary research, this showed what aspects of the video were a hit, including the full house staring of 5/5 for the music in the video, this shows that future music videos made by Rihanna should go on the line of this type of theme and style of tune and music. This research will help as in the future of the making of a new music video, this information will be used in order to focus on the factors which did not reach a full ranking staring such as the, lyrics, as this lost one star with a ranking of 4/5 stars, in the future this research is effective as the lyrics will be used for improvements. The last secondary research found was the most viewed music videos around the world, Rihanna's music video featured at being the 6 th most viewed video, when finding this through research this can be very good for the future, as this music video will be good for the reflecting of the success of the video. The total views were 847,790,000, which could be used in the future for an aim for another making of one of Rihanna's videos, this could be a goal and a stensil of the music video. This was very beneficial information to include as this showed the information which needed to be included in the Rihanna' s products. 

Primary research is something which was very important to review and evaluate as this research is very modern and is set to answer your original questions you wish to find out, for this the information found for this was for all three products, the music video, the CD digipak and the album magazine advert, this information was made for the researchers in order to gather the right information to enable the making of a new batch of the three products, this information was very effective as now the questions have been answered at what they want to see in their products in the future from the artist Rihanna. Without this information and research being completed we would not have found the right information in order to make the products as we would not have known what was needed to be included. For this quantitative research we decided to perform and make a questionnaire. For the questionnaire we set out the most important ten questions which we wanted answers to in order to find out what the audience wanted to see in their own CD digipaks for the artist Rihanna, we got people to fill in this questionnaire in order to get answers in order to help us find out what the answers were to our questions. The answers were collected and put into a graph in order to help us visualise, evaluate and interpret the answers to the questions. We split the questions into three titled, CD digipaks, album magazine adverts and music videos, for each section we asked question about what we wanted to find out about each point. 23 individuals has completed this questionnaire meaning that we made sure that we gathered an appropriate amount of fair answers to the questions asked.

For the conclusion of what the audience wants to see in their digipaks is that the CD digipaks should include the main feature of the lyrics as this is something the individuals like to views get they like to follow the lyrics as the songs are being played. the theme and colours of the digipak should be of a bright and colourful theme in order to make this more appealing and exciting to look at. These are very good answers for this evaluation and this research as now the answers have been answered of what they want to see in a future digipak.

As an overall conclusion the album magazine advert, should include mainly the release date of the real albums release, in order to engage in the overall attention of when the album is going to come out. The magazine advert should appear in mostly the OK magazines as this is a magazine which the majority of the individuals read and buy, this is a good magazine to be in as this has a good audience by looking at the results for the questionnaire.

The interview, the artist artwork should be included within the CD digipak as illustrated in the interview this will make the CD more interesting and appealing to the viewer who purchases it, the artwork should be included in the CD digipak as this save the viewer from reading as they have their own visual response when they look at the artwork. The features within the digipak is very important to consider in order to make this a good product, therefore all of this information is very important to gather, the interview revealed that the digipak should include the feature like, lyrics, an insert, a track list and also the relevent social media links like a music video link to watch the music vide as well as follow the lyrics and music track, the posters are something which was a hit to the interviewer as this will give an overall extra feature for the individual to look at and have an accessory of the artist. The lyrics are important in the digipak but not seen as an essential feature, however this is something which is a good feature for the engagement, the images of the artist and in the digipak are something which you first see when looking into and at the digipak, this is something which is very intriguing, this will increase the overall purchase of the digipak. The credits in the digipak is something which is of not much important and of much attention, however this is worth being put in for the extra information which is includes.

The focus group, was the overall evaluation and conclusion of the music video focus group response. The engaging factors of this was that the music video, was the main split of the story of the video and the singing, this meant that there was a contrast of what was shown in the video. The colour was a good relevent response as they thought the colours represented the song and this was conveyed by the relevent use of the black and white effect. The capture of Rihanna in the middle of the shot was something which was also a hit to the relevance of this video, and the centre stage of Rihanna, all of the focus group like Rihanna as an artist with her theme and her overall image, and her music, their main factors of importance for her they said was her image, style, fashion sense and her music. In the future they wish to see, the same kind of style in her future videos as the same as her "Diamonds" as this is unique. 

The Audience, panel showed what the people thought about the overall Rihanna magazine album advert, this was in order to find out what was a success, they found that the bright red colouring for the writing was shown clearly in order for the right interpretation compared to darker colour, Rihanna was in focus in black and white meaning this was more powering conveying her importance in her album. 

The competitor analyse, this was the comparison of the two competition artists for Rihanna, the two artists of most relevance was 'Beyonce and Ariana Grande' as their target audience was relevent yet also the styles and songs. However the overall conclusion shows that the most relevent competition was for Beyonce due to the most similarities within the music and her theme and style. The main point and objective for this form of research was to make sure that the competitor was the right a suitable one, due to this information gathered the answer was clear that Beyonce was the chosen, most suited competitor against the female artist Rihanna. 

With the textual analyse, this was the comparison of the two competition artists for Rihanna, the artist of most relevent was Rihanna, within this task this was to show the difference between the artsit products more than the artists. This was to point out what was similar and what was a success. This is good for the interpretation of  future products. 

The list of resources, research was of much importance for the production and composition of all of the products as the prices of the making of each product was very important in order to understand how much it would be to finally make the real product. For this it meant that we had to research into the different parts of the production of all three of the products the music video, the CD digipak and the album magazine advert. Due to this research is was to an advantage as now we have the list of research, the price (cost) and the viability of each resources needed. This research was very good to carry out as this gave the knowledge and the relevant indication of what resources didn't to be added within the production of the three products for Rihanna.

Making conclusions and proposal for creation of the products: (Each of the Products):

Within this section I am going to be defining and describing and concluding of the what the Rihanna products should look like and what they should include, this is a conclusion due to the results found within the different forms of the research, which has been carried out. 

The CD digipak:

Within the findings due to our research I was able to find out what the CD digipaks needed to include...

From evidence of the primary research interview the results from this concluded in the answers about the digipak which will help determine what needs to be included. I have concluded, which factors and parts need to be included within this. The CD digipak will need to include artist artwork in order for this to be effective as within the interview this was something, which was wanted. Lyrics for the music, poster and different paper inserts were something which was also wanted as this add a more detailed effective piece of information which is included within the CD digipak. Lyrics were something, which was to be added within the digipak as this can go the engagement of the artist and the viewer of the artist work, the lyrics mean that the audience can follow and join into the music. The images within the digipak were something that the interview evidence showed that this draws the audience in more into the digipak than the overall writing, as pictures are the visual artwork of the artist meaning you can see the scenes, themes in order to covey the artist personality, as the artist is seen to be conveying their style and theme in their digipak. The cost of the resources within the CD digipak making are reasonable for the production of this due to the findings of the different pricing's as the production of this is seen to be done in 3 days. 

Due to the next for  of primary research of a questionnaire, the results found were very useful in order to determine of what the CD digipak should look like and include. The CD digipak from this should include, the lyrics (in order to follow along at this is interesting) and bright and colourful colours. 

The Magazine Album Advert:

Through the collection of the research I have been able to determine about what should be included within the magazine album advert in order to make this successful for the artist of Rihanna. Within this I carried out primary research in the form of an audience panel, this was to make sure we gathered the target audience and let them discuss their thoughts about an existing magazine album advert, which she already had. By doing this I was able to listen to their feedback in order to gather my conclusions for what the magazine album advert needs. In order to make this engaging a shot of Rihanna's full face should be presented in order to capture the attention onto the advert when within a magazine, as Rihanna's face is distinctive and can promote the album. The colour red is something which could also be shown as the audience panel said that the colour red was very suitable for the female artist as the dark colours had a contrast on red. The colour red will be used for the information and words on the advert can stand out and capture the readers attention well, with a clear sized font for the readers to understand the writing. 

Due to the questionnaire carried out within the primary research, the conclusions stated that the advert should be put within the 'OK' magazine due to this was the one read the most, due to this, this will capture the right attention to increase the CD's sales. The release date is a piece of information which MUST be shown on the advert to let the audience and public know about the overall CD release. The advert does not need to be included within an everyday/ week issue as the feedback shows and points out the evidence that the target group read magazines once a month, meaning that this advert should be put into a month issue, otherwise it could be a waste of capital by putting it in everyday. 

The Music Video:

By carrying out primary research in the form of a focus group was very effective as now I have my conclusions of what needs to be put into a new music video performed by Rihanna. We showed them a 30 second video of "Diamonds", this determined the results; the new Rihanna music video should include a story line which could be demonstrated by the theme, the location and the lyrics sung by Rihanna herself, the black white theme is something which should be included due to the focus group evaluating that this was a good way of showing the theme and the story in order to fit the style of Rihanna. Rihanna will be centre stage within her video in order to convey her importance and that the song is about her and only her as she is in the main light. Rihanna was picked as one of the most viewed artist on YouTube and favourite due to the questionnaire answers which were found within the primary research carried out, this shows that the future of Rihanna's music videos would be viewed and seen as a good hit. The video will be presented and put onto YouTube due to who watches and the attention, which YouTube attracts seeing as this is an international website and video sharing sight.

 The genre chosen by the audience within the questionnaire wanted the theme to be of the humour side, however one point behind was the vote for the romantic theme, this shows that the audience want to see both. If this research were to be carried out again the theme should have been defined more as humour doesn't really fit with the Rihanna theme. For the future videos the Rihanna music video should be of the themes of humour and romance in order to attract the right attention and views.

Inspiration for the CD digipak: 


For the future Rihanna CD digipak I have gathered inspiration from previous CD digipaks created by Rihanna in the past. I find this inspiring because they convey Rihanna's style and theme which is something which needs to be kept in the future for the rest of Rihanna's products and her creations.

This is a mood board, which shows different collated images of several Rihanna CD digipaks, this shows the different themes and styles, which have inspired me into create a CD digipak to convey the same relevance from these themes showed her. This is the referencing of the sort of themes I am thinking about conveying in a future CD digipak of the artist Rihanna. 



Inspiration for the Magazine Album Advert: 

Due to previous magazine adverts which Rihanna has made in the past is something I want to follow as they all covey her theme all the way throughout, meaning this is something I wouldn't want to change due to her style disappearing through her work. Collated examples are below and shown in presentation (GoAnimate). 






This is a collection of different magazine album adverts, for previous Rihanna albums, all of these magazine adverts show some relevent into the research carried out. In the future due to the reference of these advert, they comply with the sort of theme I wish to covey in the future making of one of Rihanna's adverts. 





Inspiration for the Music Video: 

"Diamonds" is the music video which was shown within the primary research stage of the findings, following the feedback we gathered from this, the audience liked this due to her style, the black and white theme, yet also the set which was in the music video. This was seen to be a hit meaning that this style attracted the right attention onto Rihanna. 


This is  mood board used for the referencing of the theme and style, which should be included within a future music video. The particular video chosen wihtin this is from the video "Diamonds". This is the video shown in the research with the feedback from this attached. The words around this theme, is the words which should be included in the making, theme and the style of the video in the future.

Comparative the value of qualitative and quantitative research methods:DONE

Qualitative Research: 

This was the research that was found within the secondary research task, which gave us the opinions and attitudes about the different Rihanna products. By using this research method was very beneficial due to this being in depth and providing the key information needed in order to interpret the different parts and aspects of the products which Rihanna creates. This form of research worked very well as this provided the secondary research which shown previous customers feedback within the products which Rihanna has made in the past, by knowing this information i am able to interpret what the audience wants to see in the future products, meaning that this form of research was very effective to use and learn from. It is very important to make sure that throughout every research task, qualitative research is something that you should always undertake as compared to quantitative research you are getting a more detailed and accurate answers due to the opinions and feedback from real customers. 

This research worked by collating results, feedback and review from different sources in order to find the different feedback about the three different products, by doing this the answers of what the audience wanted and likes was very clear. 


Quantitative Research: 

The research found by using the quantitative way was very effective due to this information was in the value of numbers and graphs. This information and research was carried out to research into what the audience thought of the three products. This was to ensure that we knew what the audience had likes about previous Rihanna products. By doing this research is was to find out the number and mathematical response from the audience by the use of ranking, rating and staring the products, which had previously been used. The results found for the music video 'Work' was very good as the staring was broken down in sections to show how each factor within the video were like in terms of stars. (Image on GoAnimate) 

This form of research worked well and effectively due to the visual response of the answers conveyed by the staring reviews, this form of research has the ability to being foreseen easily by the viewers as numbers are clearer than words, however this form of research may lack important detail.
