Shout Magazine
Shout Magazine, is a UK magazine for teenage girls, this was published in 1993 and is published by D.C. Thomson. Shout Magazine is also edited by Maria T.Welch. Within the magazine it includes information about fashion, celebrities, stories, gossip, problems and also embarrassing moments.
Shout magazine set up a survay for the public, the results came back saying the public would like to read about true stories and moments, therefore Shout release a magazine containing true stories, this was called Shout Secrets, which was released in 2008, this was sold for £3.00.
This is one issue of Shout Magazine, as you can see this front cover is very attractive to the eye for teenage girls and it contains colour and a celebrity, it includes the contents at the front explaining whats in the magazine. Shout usually uses a female figure on the front cover.
Layout and Content of the Magazine
Within this magazine it contains bright colours, which is appealing to the teenage eye, the layout is very clear and easily understood. Not the front cover of the magazine it explains what is inside of the magazine. There are many pictures within the magazine, this is good for young teenagers as they may not want to read a lot. In the magazine, it includes advertisements which are very relevant for a teenage girl, for example an advert for a body spray, perfume.
In the contents it includes what is in the magazine, so it is easy to find. The font is very big, bold, colourful and very clear, this attracts the attention very well. There are also fun competitions in the magazine, including winning a iPad. In the magazine it has many posters which teenagers can hang up.
